Team Leader (LPN)

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Resident and Family Experience, the Team Leader (LPN) is accountable for the day-to-day management of the RN, LPN and CCA staff assigned to the units. Specific RN scope of practice matters are referred to the Director of Resident and Family Experience but otherwise the RN is accountable to the Team Leader.  This includes the coordination of resident care, supervision and support of the care team, problem solving with residents and families.  The successful incumbent will be required to work evenings/weekends as needed to support the overall management of the long-term care home.  The incumbent will:

 

  • Lead all initiatives to ensure that the staff are successful in the achievement of organizational goals and objectives in keeping with the strategic direction, mission, vision, and values of TBNH

  • Provide leadership and direction to ensure that the work of all staff meets the required standards, and promotes safe, competent, and ethical care for all residents at TBNH.

  • Participate in the development of policies and procedures, provide education to staff, and lead quality improvement projects

  • Recruit, onboard, educate, and provide performance reviews for the LPN and CCA staff.

 

We are seeking to fill one (1) full time temporary position, we require:

 

  • An active license to practice as an LPN

  • Training / education in leadership, long term care, etc.

  • Two (2) years management experience

  • Current certification in CPR/First Aide

  • Education in dementia care is highly desirable
